It's tough to communicate your idea into words for your artist to interpret. The sketch ensures we’re on the same page conceptually and visually.

Just as my tattoos are built in a 3 stage process, so too are my sketches. Of course, sketches can take a bit of a messier approach as we clarify your idea, just like note-taking in visual form. Once I complete the initial sketch including all the important information, I can begin to build on it to use as a guide for the tattoo process.
Developing a sketch for your tattoo
It’s tough to put words to an idea you’ve only visualized in your mind. And it’s not easy to talk about a work of art without seeing it first.
That’s why I like to view the creation process as a collaboration between me and each client. Your ideas meet my interpretation to create a unique piece of art we can build on together.
